Our Land
Once a bison ranch. Today home to bees.
Bison Bluff Honey comes from our family property near Barriere, BC, a former bison ranch surrounded by open meadows, forests and mountains.
For years, bison roamed these fields. The herd is gone now, but that history remains part of the land and gave Bison Bluff its name.
Today, the property is home to our bees. They forage across the meadows and surrounding countryside throughout the season, producing wildflower honey whose colour and flavour naturally changes with each year's bloom.
Our Bees
From the meadow to the hive.
Our hives sit among the meadows at Bison Bluff, surrounded by wildflowers, forest and the changing forage each season brings.
We tend the colonies ourselves throughout the year, checking the hives, caring for the bees and giving them the space to do what they do best.
When the time is right, the honey is harvested in small batches, keeping the process simple and the honey as close to the hive as possible.
Our Honey
Wildflower Honey
Our raw wildflower honey reflects the meadows and forests surrounding Bison Bluff. What the bees forage changes throughout the season, giving each harvest its own natural colour and flavour.
Harvested in small batches from our hives near Barriere, BC, and packed in generous 1 kg buckets.
